I'm sure by now most of you have seen the news that the follower button is disappearing.
I THINK, If I am reading this correctly that it is only to affect NON Blogging sites.
Correct me if I'm wrong!

I don't like the fact that you are automatically followed by what looks like advertising companies and it also mixes the followers up, randomly so you can't tell, at a glance, who's new!

Hi Fleur, I also read it as being non-blogger sites but Vicky has posted on her blog that in time it is being phased out completely. I am happy to add the new followers linky tool that a few people are recommending but really don't know how it is going to work with the blogger dashboard. Think I'm going to hold off for the time being and see what happens.

yep thats the way i read it too.its only been stopped for those people who tranferred the followers gadget to wordpress and other non google blogs.i think if they were doing away with it we would of been told by now.???

Hi Fleur - am with you - I read only non blogger blogs as well. Have put the new linky on my sidebar - will see how it goes - if the advert followers become too many then I think it will be going in the recycle bin!!

Yeah - that's my understanding too Fleur! But I've added the new linky tool for non-blogger users who want to follow me.
Will follow you on both tho as they will probably get rid of GFC eventually as they are pushing people to use their circle functionality instead!

Hi Fleur, yes, that was my understanding too yesterday, so have kept the new linky thing there but headd it "in case we loose it"! I didn't like the way we got advertising followers straight away either - so deleted them :) tee hee! Hugs, Teresa x
