Happy Birthday - Truly Scrumptious

Happy Monday evening.

Hope all is well, I'm Not in the good books tonight!

I painted the ceiling in Mackenzie's room this morning in a slightly off white shade, It looked lovely -

that is until I went up there tonight and the light made it look yellow. I hated it, so Good ole Darren (or should I say "poor" ole Darren) has re-painted, it in white!

I think I'm gonna have to wait a teeny bit longer for My Cricut - lol

This week it's Truly scrumptious's birthday.

They have a great sketch with option to make a birthday card. It's my brother's birthday in a few weeks time & there's quite a bit of age gap, He's semi-retired so I thought this image would be ideal.

Just Magnolia challenge - A sketch by JayJay

Good evening.

Hope you are all having a good weekend!

Just a quick post tonight, as we going to sit and down and watch a DVD.

Had a bit of a busy day, Firstly Mackenzie had a party to go to. Then she had a pony lesson, She decided she'd like to ride Peanuts AKA Nutty! She was asked to trot: but Nutty had other ideas and decided to go into full gallop. Mackenzie did really well managing to stay on for as long as she did! halfway round the field she managed to get him under control and bring him to a halt: but as he stopped she decided she wasn't going to & carried on through the air. Thankfully she got straight up & on again. Only a few tears from the shock. They say you have to fall off a few times to make a good rider so she's well on her way LOL.

I have made the flower using the retro punches, kindly borrowed from Lou Check out her work, it's great & now she has become a permanent DT member for Squiggle stamps

I have used pearl glimmer mist on the flower, which is made from newspaper backed with pink card!

It was an experiment and I am really happy with the result -

so watch out everything may be cover in newspaper!!!

Squiggles Challenge - Pink with Hearts!

Morning everyone - seems ages since I've actively blogged. Last weekend I was away with some great crafty girls at a cabin in the woods, will get round to sharing my photos at some point, will also show my card I made whilst there. We really didn't get much crafting done, what with walks, films and good old girly chat!!!

Hopefully will do it again later in the year & not take soooo much stash!!!!

I've tried something a bit different from my muted shades of recent posts - not sure if it works or not!

I've used a stamp from STAMPING BELLA called "Mismatch Ketto"

So I thought I would give whole "mismatched" look to my card!

I think I might give the DT post a try, but with all those talented ladies out there, I hold little hope, but you never know - stranger things have happened...
