Mac’s 16th birthday card,

Hi, I hardly ever post anymore, but I really want to get back into crafting, I really enjoyed making this card for Mackenzie’s 16th birthday.

I’ve used Ruby, dog days from polkadoodles.

The image is coloured with distress re-inkers and I have paper-pieced the bags.
I’d like to enter this card for the anything goes challenge over at polkadoodles

I've made this with my Mum in mind,

Her birthday isn't until the end of October,

 so I thought I'd go with a hint of autumn colours.

Good morning everyone and hope that you had a wonderful weekend. Today I'm sharing with you a  card  using GORGEOUS papers from the Treasure My Heart digi collection available here on the website or here https://www.etsy.com/shop/MicheleRDesign as an INSTANT DOWNLOAD. Spellbinder butterflies are made from contrasting patterned paper and I have used shaped dies for the main card and slightly distressed all edges.

I have just received an email from the editor of Cardmaking and Papercarft magazine (I design for their magazine) that I have made the short list for Favourite card-maker of the year in the British Craft Awrds 2016! I am speechless & it's such a surprise for me to even be nominated.

Mac's 13th

 

Hi strangers.

I can't believe it's been so long.

 

I really felt that I needed a break from crafting.

 

I've been doing my magazine work, but other than that I stepped down from all of my DT duties.

 

I just felt that I had lost my mojo and there was so much happening at home.

My M.I.L has had an annexe built onto our house, Darren has been so stressed at work and we are having lots done to our house too!

 

Anyway I hope all is well in the crafting world.

 

It was Mackenzie's 13th birthday on Friday and she asked for a homemade card.

 

I hope my mojo is returning and once things start to take shape at home I'll get the craft room sorted and up & running again.

 

 

Here's Mac's card.

 

 

 

She is really loving the copper / Rose gold trend that is so BIG at the moment so I used that as my inspiration,  and added lots of copper frantage.

The image is a digi from the 80s & 90s fashion duo from Saturated Canary
