Week 45 Allsorts challenge - "Rags to Riches"

Happy weekend everyone!
This week over at ALLSORTS it's Helene's first time to choose a challenge (it'll be mine soon!!!)
She has chosen a great theme -  "Rags to Riches"
For this you can recycle or alter an item.
I've got a photo from my Friend Anne's Hen weekend (just before we left for London)
It's been sitting on my kitchen bookcase waiting to be framed for ages - so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to get something done about it!
xXx

Before
A bit plain

xXx

After
A bit more special
xXx
I had a difficult job taking a picture of the finished item as I kept getting a reflection from the glass.

I have used:
Cheap pine photo frame,
Daisy bucket papers,
swirl stamp,
Tim Holtz tag,
Chipboard letters & buttons from stash.
xXx
Thanks for looking and don't forget to pop over to allsorts to look at what
the rest of the team have come up with.
xXx
Have fun

Allsorts Challenge week 43 & Some oh, so, very exciting news!

Hi Happy weekend everyone.
I'm so excited, because earlier in the week I got a phone call from the very talented Brenda inviting me to join the design team over at ALLSORTS
I am really looking forward to working with such talented & inspirational ladies.
I would also like to wish Jules all the best.
xXx
So on to my first DT card.
The challenge for week 43 has been set by Lisa, and she would like to see - Black, White & Pink
xXx
I have used one of my new stamps from Mo Manning "Psst Dani & Taylor"
This is such a funky image and was crying out for the use of blacks & pinks, making it ideal for the challenge.
I have water-coloured my image with versacolor cubes.
xXx
xXx
The large flower is made by using the retro flower punch & just shaping the petals using the Martha Stewart heart border punch. I have used  Martha stewart stars punch for the border.

A time to reflect

Happy Monday.
No card yet; but just going through some of the pics of our crafty weekend & I do love this one!
It's a shame all 9 ladies aren't on it though!
Had a go at air-brushing, as some of our wellies were on show, then turned to black & white
 - may scrapbook this as I haven't scrapbooked for ages & It was one of my first crafting passions
 - watch this space...

Allsorts challenge - Just for men.

Happy Sunday everyone - how quick the weekend has flown!
This week over at Allsorts the challenge is men,
I'm pretty sure that I'm in the majority of crafters who always find this a challenge in itself!
xXx
xXx
I have used LOTV stamp - "riding my bike"
I have water-coloured the image in with versa color cubes, with the exception of the bike frame & wheels where I have used twinkling H2o's to give a metallic look.
I also gave the card a bit of a scrap look with the staples and little silver embelishments (always difficult to include embelishments on male cards)

Thanks for taking time to have a look

A card and gift for my Mum

The challenge over at Allsorts this week is to make a card/gift for Mum.
My Mum loves gardening so I used
Penny Black image "Gossamer" over a Hero Arts background stamp "Silhouette grass"
I have decoupaged the flowers.
xXx
xXx
xXx
Inside I have made 4 wallets from envelopes, 3 of which contain a packet of seeds each (remove from normal seed packets & put into money envelopes to match card) & one wallet left empty so I can add a little sentiment card, telling her how much she means to me!
xXx
xXx
I started off with the intention of the card opening consertina style; but didn't like all the ribbons on the seed packets next to the ribbon tie at the side of the card, so I turned the wallets so that the opening were at the top & now the side tie is for decoration only!

Lili of the valley challenge

Hello bloggers,
Hope you are all good.
It seems ages since I last posted although it is only a week ago.
On to my card - I have finally had a go at the LOTV Challenge and have used one of their gorgeous stamps.
xXx
xXx
Not 100% happy with the flowers, I tried to distress them by screwing them up as I normally do but they just kept tearing & losing their petals. I cut them on "MY NEW CRICUT EXPRESSION"
- yes you heard me right, "MY NEW CRICUT EXPRESSION"
Darren was really good to me last week and got me an early birthday present.
Still trying to get to grips with it all. But I do love it.
xXx
Here's some pics of the bunting I did in Mac's room (with the help of Avril) using up some of my old scrapbook papers, It looks far better in reality than the photos - It's so bright & cheerful and I love it!
Remind me to show you when you come for coffee lol!!
xXx
xXx

xXx
Might had a few "pompoms" to some of them - we'll see!
xXx
Thanks for looking & any comments are truly appreciated
