Sweet baby

Welcome to another ALLSORTS challenge,
Thank you for entering Deb's Summer Days challenge ~ WOW there were loads of fab summery cards.
xXx
This week it's Amanda's turn, and she would like to see a card for a baby or child.
xXx
I really struggled as I don't really do pastel shades,
but really wanted to a card for a baby girl as my niece is expecting a little girl.
xXx
The card layout was a bit of an accident, as I stamped stars all over the cardstock & really didn't like it, so I layered it up in the same colour and was quite pleased with the result.
xXx
I've let it quite simple too
xXx
xXx
I have used:
Sugar Nellie ~ Baby Rabbit
NitWit Paper
Martha Stewart ~ Pinking Edge Border
Nestabilities ~ Ovals & Scallop Ovals
Faux Stitching
Water-coloured ~ Distress Inks
Brads From Stash

Don't forget to enter our Penny Black at ALLSORTS monthly challenge, where there's some awesome prizes.

Black, White + one other colour

Hi everyone.
Happy weekend to you all.
Thanks for taking part in Helene's challenge last week at ALLSORTS
There was, as usual, some stunning entries.
Pop over & check who's her top 5 faves!
xXx
This week it's Deb's turn to decide & she would love to see - Black, White & one other colour.
The choice is yours!
xXx
I have chosen green, mainly because a friend wanted a card for her daughter's 11th bithday - she loves green & anything with skulls on it! So I thought this would be ideal.
xXx
xXx
I have used:
Gorjuss girl,
Kelly Panici - Stitches
Sizzix - skull,
Magnolia papers,
SU - tag punch,
Martha Stewart - Pinking scallop.
I added a few staples for a scrappy look.
As usual coloured with versacolor cubes!
The sentiment was made from a small alphabet stamp & punched out using the tag punch.

The Sugar Bowl - #18 - Kathy's Sketch

Afternoon everyone. I really enjoyed this weeks sketch over @ http://sugarbowlblog.blogspot.com/2009/08/challenge-18-kathys-sketch.html
Part of the challenge is to use buttons!
xXx
I love this image, Did have a bit of a problem colouring in the gown - First I used twinkling h2o's in vanilla bean, then when I tried to add a little shading under her veil it looked really dirty, so I tried to thin it out and most of the h2o came off in little blobs, so had to try to remove them gently. I think it all worked out ok in the end though!!!
xXx
xXx
I have used:
Sugar Nellie stamp - Happily ever after,
Paper - Papermania, exquisite collection,
Ribbon - Anita's,
Woodware border punch,
Buttons and silver thread from stash.
Thanks for looking.

Mojo Monday Turns 100 - DAY 2

Here is my 2nd card for Mojo mondays daily sketch to celebrate turning 100.
Hop over to
and have a look.

I have used a sugar nellie stamp - Gorjuss girl sitting, isn't she great.

I'm quite happy with the end result, but I do think I could have done the shading better, especially her hair - but hopefully with practice I will improve.

Hope you like it, thanks for looking!
